The O2 Forum is a very useful tool for finding answers, solving problems, and exchanging experiences.
Solution description
The O2 Forum app is an important part of the website. It enables direct communication between O2 and users/customers and between users/customers and each other. The O2 Forum is a very useful tool for finding answers, solving problems, and exchanging experiences.
In 2010 it was integrated into the ePortal (Liferay).
An unregistered/unlogged-in user can only read and search the O2 Forum content, while a registered/logged-in user also has permission to create comments and new discussion topics.
O2 Forum content can be displayed in different ways. There are 4 basic options:
- List of topics;
- List of comments;
- Listing of comments in a tree structure;
- Listing of search results.
An integral part of the application is the administration module (integrated within the Console), which provides the following options:
- User management
- Category
- Comments
- Emoticons
- Vulgarism filter
- Wildcard characters
- Email Blacklist
- MSISDN Blacklist
O2 Forum is integrated with the following information systems and services:
ePortal Proxy Portlet
The O2 Forum application is integrated into the ePortal solution using the Proxy portlet. ePortal transforms and displays O2 Forum content.
ePortal Singl Sign On (SSO)
Service enabling user identification (registration, login).
The O2 Forum application is built on a PHP platform and integrated into the ePortal (Liferay).
