The aim of the project was to implement the API management solution and Token Provider together with the Developer portal into the environment of Česká pojišt’ovna a.s.
The project was implemented together with our subcontractor, CA CEE s.r.o. It was divided into three stages, where in the first stage we carried out the Proof of Concept, in the second stage the implementation and the third stage is the support and maintenance of the implemented solution.
During the initial stage, the functionality and capabilities of the API management tool were demonstrated to the client and simultaneously deployed in a single environment so that the client could verify and test the usage themselves. After a successful PoC evaluation, the project turned to the second phase, where the solution was deployed in DEV and TEST environments. After successful acceptance testing, the solution was put into production in pilot mode. After the agreed period, the solution was fully launched in production among all planned users and to ensure high availability of the Mobile API Gateway module, it was launched in active-active mode. At the same time, the third stage, support and maintenance, was activated.
In order to ensure the possibility of accessing the services and systems of Česká pojišt’ovna by external entities, an API management solution from CA was selected, from which the following modules were deployed:
- Mobile API Gateway: used for fast, secure and auditable API exposure,
- API Developer Portal: is designed to make APIs available to internal and external developers of web or mobile applications.
