Extranet
Peugeot ČR
We have created and currently operate an extranet portal for Peugeot Czech Republic. The users of the extranet are employees from the dealer network, working in various fields of work: marketing, advertising, car service, car sales and management.
Project description
Extranet serves mainly as a DMS. Documents are uploaded by users from Peugeot ČR and external cooperating agencies. The largest part of the extranet are documents – documents for advertising campaigns. These are files of graphic, text or audio formats. Each file can also have its preview in PDF or JPG format attached.
The extranet includes an application for updating basic data on dealerships, which ensures data synchronisation between the internal Peugeot CR system and the extranet.
The extranet currently has over 200 users and is an essential communication tool for Peugeot CR.
Peugeot Extranet is an integration project combining several applications. Open SSO technology is used for login, which solves Single sign-on (SSO) login (user authentication in one application is used to authorize the user in other applications). The Liferay portal solution is used to manage branches, users and user groups with different privileges. Users and user groups are stored in the Open DS directory server. The Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system Alfresco is used for document management. The application is complemented by a J2EE module to synchronise data with the internal system at Peugeot. The application runs on top of the GlassFish application server.
