The aim of the project was to change the communication with existing and new customers of the company:
- To replace the need for the customer’s personal presence at meetings with the supplier’s representatives with comfortable electronic communication at the upper limit of contemporary standards.
- Proactive promotion of news and information to the general public with Internet access.
The project was implemented by AMI Praha, a.s. in close cooperation with Business Holders from the client environment of Pražská plynárenská, a.s. This synergy resulted in the subsequent project of development and implementation of a set of applications under the name “Reservation System”. The applications “Booking an appointment with a regional representative”, “Booking an appointment at the counter”, “On-line discussion” and “Information zone – news” filled the portal with substantive content. All the objectives set by the client and the contractor were achieved by the implementation of both projects.
The customer portal was implemented on the open source portal Liferay and the application server JBoss of the Java EE platform.
